Mechanical Assembly Technician - Full Time Oakville
Job Summary:
The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for the mechanical assembly of custom tooling and automation equipment in accordance with technical drawings, procedures, and quality standards. This hands-on role involves working through all phases of equipment build, including pre-assembly preparation, staging and verifying components, mechanical sub-assembly, troubleshooting, and final testing. The technician collaborates closely with the Supervisor, Test & Assembly and Project Managers to identify and resolve technical issues, ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols, and meet project schedules and budgets. Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured assembly and testing procedures are critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Assembly Duties
Perform hands-on mechanical assembly of tools and equipment based on technical drawings, procedures, and specifications.
Plan, co-ordinate, and highlight issues directly to Supervisor, Test & Assembly based on schedule provided by Project Manager.
Maintain hold and verification points as imposed by the QA program and QA personnel.
Perform pre-assembly audits and stage components and inventory of components prior to builds.
Review drawing packages and highlight issues prior to performing the build.
Assemble tools and tooling components as directed by drawings and assembly procedures.
Log/compile all lessons learned throughout tool assembly and provide summary to manager at close of project.
Ensure compliance to assigned budgets provided by Supervisor, Test & Assembly
Ensure compliance to assigned schedules provided by Supervisor, Test & Assembly
Safely and efficiently operate fork trucks, cranes and other material handling equipment.
Additional duties and responsibilities as required by Supervisor/Manager.
Quality Assurance
Ensures adherence of all MITP requirements (i.e., Hold points, Witness points and Inspection points) in relation to Assembly/Testing activities.
Initiates ECR/NCR’s or equivalent for related assembly issues.
Ensures proper compliance of all related QA & QC documentation.
Enforces proper quarantine and release protocols.
Works closely with Supervisor, Assembly & Test, in reviewing/release of drawings.
Purchasing
Works with Supervisor, Assembly & Test to ensure accurate and timely requisitioning of all consumables and special tooling required for and during build.
Works with Supervisor, Assembly & Test, to ensure proper documentation is requested/received. Follow up on delinquent documentation in conjunction with QA protocols.
Health & Safety and Housekeeping
Strictly adheres to all health and safety policies and practices.
Strictly adheres to housekeeping protocols.
Strictly adheres to WHIMIS protocols.
Manages and maintains clean assembly area, allocating 15 minutes per day cleaning work area.
Monitors consumable due dates and safely disposes when expired.
Other
An element of engineering may be included in the daily tasks depending on individual competencies and experience. This would include:

CNC Machinist - Full Time Oakville
Job Summary:
The CNC Machinist is responsible for the production of machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual machines. This role ensures adherence to safety and quality standards while maintaining equipment, tooling, and supplies. Additionally, the role involves coordinating daily shop activities, providing direction, and assisting in the prioritization of work tasks.
Responsibilities:
Machining & Programming:
Schedule and prioritize machining work based on project timelines.
Review blueprints, models, engineering plans, and specifications; interpret GD&T to plan machining.
Create CNC programs using Mastercam, Fusion, G-Code, and conversational programming.
Set up CNC mills and lathes, ensuring proper installation and adjustment of tools, vices, and fixtures.
Verify settings by measuring first-off parts and adjusting machine controls as needed.
Technical Guidance:
Provide technical support to machinists, resolving issues related to design or manufacturing processes.
Coordinate with engineering to address design concerns or changes.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure accuracy and precision of parts by adhering to quality control procedures.
Conduct sample measurements during operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.
Deburr parts and prepare them for subsequent operations or inspection.
Shop Supervision:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standards.

The Lead Hand, Assembly & Test serves - Full Time Oakville
Job Summary:
The Lead Hand, Assembly & Test serves in a dual capacity as both a skilled Assembly Technician and a team lead, playing a critical role in the hands-on assembly and testing of custom tooling and machinery. This role bridges the gap between leadership and execution by providing direction, technical support, and coordination to the assembly team. Will be working closely with the Supervisor, Assembly & Test, the Lead Hand ensures the effective daily execution of work plans, maintaining alignment with project schedules, specifications, and safety, health, and quality standards. In addition to performing mechanical assembly and testing-including functional and factory acceptance testing (FAT)-the Lead Hand leads daily tasks, facilitates pre-job meetings, and enforces compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
Responsibilities also include material requisitioning, enforcing WHMIS and safety practices, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Lead Hand is accountable for upholding QA standards throughout the build process by ensuring proper documentation, resolving assembly-related issues, and supporting Engineering in test planning. This position is key to drivinq continuous improvement across the Assembly & Test department.
Responsibilities:
Assembly Operations & Leadership
Perform hands-on mechanical assembly of tools and equipment based on technical drawings, procedures, and specifications.
Lead and support the Assembly Technicians by assigning daily tasks, setting priorities, and communicating project requirements.
Host pre-job meetings to ensure scopes are understood, risks are considered, and appropriate equipment is in place.
Review drawing packages in advance and highlight issues prior to starting the build.
Confirm kitting is completed and verify that all required materials, parts, and tools are available and ready before assembly begins.
Maintain QA-imposed hold and verification points throughout the assembly process.
Assist technicians during daily activities, encouraging a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to all MITP requirements, including hold, witness, and inspection points during assembly and testing.
Initiate and support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) or Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for assembly-related issues (execution by Production Coordinator).
Ensure full compliance with QA and QC documentation and maintain accurate build records.
Enforce proper quarantine and release protocols for non-conforming materials.
Collaborate with the Supervisor in reviewing and releasing drawing packages.
Material Coordination & Purchasing
Coordinate with the Supervisor, Assembly & Test, to requisition consumables and special tooling in a timely and accurate manner.
Confirm kitting are complete and ready prior to job start, and escalate missing or delayed items as needed.
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
Adhere to all health and safety policies, WHMIS regulations, and safe work practices.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, allocating at least 15 minutes daily to housekeeping tasks.
Monitor expiration dates for consumables and ensure timely and safe disposal of expired materials.

Facilities Technician - Full Time Oakville
Job Summary:
The Facility Technician supports the facility operations, ensuring that the building, equipment, and work environment remain clean, safe, functional, and production-ready. This role combines hands-on technical support, and routine maintenance tasks to enable daily operational efficiency. The Facility Technician works closely with the Facilities Manager and production teams to complete inspections, address maintenance requests, perform light repairs, support housekeeping and 5S initiatives, and assist with shopfloor preparation. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, proactive, and dedicated to maintaining a safe and well-functioning facility.
Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance & Operations
Conduct routine facility inspections and complete daily/weekly checklists (lighting, HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, safety stations).
Respond to internal maintenance requests and ensure they are logged and completed in a timely manner.
Support coordination of external facility services (HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, cleaning contractors, etc.).
Perform light facility repairs such as bulb replacement, tightening fixtures, patch painting, minor adjustments, and preventive upkeep.
Maintain inventory of consumables, PPE, cleaning materials, and maintenance supplies.
Ensure emergency exits, walkways, and fire-safety equipment remain unobstructed and fully accessible.
Assist with snow-clearing, indoor floor cleaning, and seasonal facility care.
Housekeeping & 5S / Lean Workplace
Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of shop areas, work benches, storage rooms, and common spaces.
Support 5S initiatives including sorting, labeling, standardizing, and visual workplace practices.
Remove waste materials, scrap metal, and recycling from designated areas.
Ensure tools, fixtures, and materials are tracked and returned to proper storage locations after use.
Health & Safety Compliance

Identify and report facility hazards, equipment defects, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Shopfloor Support

General Support

Requirements
Technical or vocational training in mechanical, maintenance, facilities, or related field
1–3 years of experience in a maintenance, facility support, building services, or shop-floor support role (manufacturing/industrial environment preferred).
1-3 years of experience performing light maintenance tasks (minor repairs, bulb changes, basic troubleshooting).
1- 3 Experience supporting 5S, housekeeping, or continuous improvement initiatives is an asset.
